Between Water and Stone: Tropical Minimalist Resort VILLA

Design Philosophy
This project aims to create a modern resort space within lush tropical scenery, integrating minimalist architecture, luxurious experiences, and natural harmony. The design transcends mere living quarters, striving to offer residents a sophisticated lifestyle that returns to authenticity and tranquility through meticulous crafting of space, materials, and landscape.

Architectural Design
Volume and Space: The structure is composed of clear, geometrically defined volumes, creating rich layers and interplay of light and shadow through cantilevers, setbacks, and lattice designs. Expansive glass curtain walls dissolve physical boundaries, drawing the lush landscape indoors and allowing the architecture to breathe within nature.
Material Palette: Featuring exposed concrete, dark wood, stainless steel, large-scale glass, and white paint, the design employs low-saturation tones and varied textures to achieve an understated, timeless, and elevated visual experience.
Signature Elements:
Cantilevered Canopy: Constructed with wood-grain aluminum panel ceilings and recessed downlights, it provides practical shelter from sun and rain while visually extending the space and enhancing depth.
Wooden Lattice: Applied to the building facade, it offers shade and privacy, adds textural detail to the elevation, and modulates natural light.

Landscape Design
Core Layout: The landscape centers around an infinity pool, extending outward into tropical plantings. The pool design is clean and simple, featuring floating decks and planted islands to foster a serene, relaxing atmosphere.
Plant Selection: Carefully chosen tropical vegetation—including palm trees, banana plants, and ferns—surrounds the pool, creating a vibrant contrast with the architectural volumes.
Outdoor Furniture: Low-profile, comfortable, and contemporary outdoor pieces (such as L-shaped white sofas and sun loungers) provide a delightful leisure experience.
